SAN DIEGO SUMMER REVIEW

What a summer this has been! Staying at Santee Lakes Campground for five months has been a very pleasant experience to say the least. Not only did I make new friends with those in the campground, but I spent some time with friends from the past.

Various adventures and events were happening one after another and much time putting together slide presentations (22 total) along with slow Internet connections that I did not do much posting to this blog. So this post will be an attempt to catch up with stuff that I did not post about this past summer.

CHICANO PARK
Located under the approach bridge to the Coronado Bridge in San Diego in Barrio Logan there is a collection of Chicano art that was painted on the many support pillars for the bridge. The locals worked hard to get a park that had been promised them for years. When it was finally built, the same locals pained around 100 beautiful and meaningful murals for all to see.
